A New Year Wish from Neil painted by Jill Thompson

This is one of my wishes come true. Happy 2021!

We have wanted to work with the super-talented Jill Thompson on a print for as long as we have been in business! (since 2007)

Jill (of Beast of Burden and Sandman fame) has painted her version of Neil’s New Year wish. She based the scene on Neil’s series of night photographs* from Skye.

*have you seen them? They are incredible!

She put in a raven at my request, and I am in love with this image.

The font is her personal hand-done touch.

This is the message from Neil:

"It's a New Year and with it comes a fresh opportunity to shape our world. 

 So this is my wish, a wish for me as much as it is a wish for you: in the world to come,

let us be brave – let us walk into the dark without fear, and step into the unknown with smiles on our faces, even if we're faking them. 

And whatever happens to us, whatever we make, whatever we learn, let us take joy in it.

We can find joy in the world if it's joy we're looking for,

we can take joy in the act of creation. 

 So that is my wish for you, and for me.

The limited edition run will be 750, hand-numbered.

These will be sized at 11” x 17” on pearlescent stock, offered unsigned currently at the pre-sale price of $25.00 for this first week of 2021.

We will offer all three New Year wish prints (the other two by the line master David Mack!) for $55.00 for the set.
